An arachnid is a living being that has 8 legs naturally. Some famous kinds of arachnids are spiders, scorpions, ticks, and mites. The word Arachnid comes from Aracnia. According to Greek mythology, a human woman named Aracnia said that she was then Hera (a greek godess) at sewing. Hera in a moment of anger tore apart everything Acrania owned. Acrania then killed herself. Hera took pity on the woman and turned into a spider.
