Lenax mirandus is a species of beetle belonging to the Rhizophagidae family.
Appearance[]
the species is about 4.5 mm long and 1 mm wide, the thorax and the abdomen’s width roughly equalises, it has minute clubbed antennae with reduced legs, the head is broad and has a large irregular depression close to the eyes which separates the eyes from the middle part of the head, the elytra is very elongated; has a grooved appearance with obvious longitudinal grooves.[1]

Lenax mirandus is likely a fungivorous species of insect[1] and lives in the Peel Forest of North Island in New Zealand this is an endemic species.
